We are thrilled to announce two films we have designed are premiering Tribeca Film Festival, On The Divide and Lady Boss: The Jackie Collins Story (design directed with studio Blue Spill).
On the Divide, produced by Diane Becker and Melanie Miller, follows the story of three Latinx people living in McAllen, Texas who, despite their views, are connected by the most unexpected of places: the last abortion clinic on the U.S./Mexico border. We came on board late in the NY based edit, to work with the team designing typographical elements in the film. It was a pleasure to be involved in such an important film, and we’re looking forward to its premiere and wider release.
Lady Boss: The Jackie Collins Story, was directed by Laura Fairrie and produced by John Battsek & Lizzie Gillett. The film follows literary phenomenon, revolutionary storyteller and feminist icon Jackie Collins’s trailblazing and glamorous life. Allison design directed the film with studio Blue Spill, and was involved in the early stages of the edit, working with director Laura to explore a fun, provocative and evocative aesthetic which felt authentic to Jackie herself.
